2001 marks the release of Beth The Sybil’s debut CD, My King Nimrod. Each song offers a particular insight into a magical time of wonder, mystery and love, in which all creation is seen imbued with consciousness. King Nimrod is based on a Moroccan/Spanish song which has come up through both Sephardic and early Christian traditions separately, which foretells the time of awakening of consciousness in all people. In the French Nightingale, it is a bird’s magical song which reveals a new world of transforming wonder.The Balkan The Dark One, tells of a woman’s maligned reputation for choosing the path of love and beauty. Beth unearths mysterious ancient sources for which Greg Harris composes sizzling compositions, supported by the world-class musicianship of the band. Beth The Sybil creates a seductive, theatrical, time and mind altering journey. Beth The Sybil has been selected as the official music ensemble for
Heifer Project International, a 50 year old non profit organization
that provides farm animals and environmental help to needy families,
enabling self-sufficiency for poor people all over the globe. Learn

The
Sybil originates in Greek mythology. Half human, half nymph, she is
a female enchantress who can read the past, foretell the future and
heal the human soul. Over time she multiplies across cultural traditions
and is discovered to be the author of ancient pagan, Celtic, Jewish,
and Christian sacred texts. Beth The Sybil’s music accesses a mystical
chord of unity between diverse cultures, that share a reverence for
the earth, the sacred feminine and the cosmic origins and destiny of
the human soul within a framework of a world music jam.|
